Gulf Shores, Ala – February 10, 2012 – The City of Gulf Shores has announced that legendary star, Mitzi Gaynor has joined the 2012 Entertainment Series lineup. Gaynor will light up the Erie Meyer Civic Center stage on March 5 with an intimate evening of laughs, love and music with her show Razzle Dazzle! My Life Behind the Sequins.
This unforgettable love letter to a great era of show business is part concert, part autobiography – a glittering multimedia one woman tour-de-force of side-splitting stories and classic songs, along with stunning video footage culled from her television, concert and film work. Gaynor, an Emmy Award winner and Golden Globe nominated star reminisces on her celebrated career and intimate reflections from her personal relationships with costars including Frank Sinatra, Ethel Merman and Marilyn Monroe to her romance with Howard Hughes and the joyous 52 year marriage to the love of her life, Hollywood producer Jack Bean.
The production, which recently completed an acclaimed two-week engagement in New York City, is scripted by Miss Gaynor and conceived and constructed by Emmy Award winning producers Rene Reyes and Shane Rosamonda and features six new, breathtaking costume creations by legendary fashion designer, Bob Mackie.
