The South Baldwin Newcomers’ Club welcomed Board Certified GYN/Urogynecologist, Dr. Michael J. Coyle to their monthly luncheon as the speaker. Dr. Coyle’s medical practice is in Florida where he has been named Chief of Staff at Santa Rosa Medical Center for 2012-2014.Dr. Coyle holds specialties in pelvic reconstructive surgery, urinary incontinence, minimally invasive surgery, minimally invasive body contouring and natural bio-identical hormone replacement therapy.
I think I speak for everyone at the luncheon when I say that we found the information that Dr. Coyle was able to share with us fascinating and very timely. His humorous and engaging speaking style was just a bonus! Dr, Coyle possesses that rare ability of being able to share accurate, succinct, and understandable information sprinkled with large doses of humor.
Dr. Coyle’s reassuring and caring “bedside manner” put many audience members so at ease that many women were able to share personal experiences that at one time they may have been too embarrassed to discuss even in private. If you ever have an opportunity to hear Dr. Coyle speak, you are in for a treat! For more information on Dr. Michael J. Coyle go to www.progressivewomenshealth.com.

Although SBNC is better known for its social component, the members are also concerned about the community in which they live. With close to 300 local and newcomer members, the Club successfully raised $19,000 in 2010, which was distributed to 17 local charities, and three $1000 student scholarships. This year the Club hopes to do as well or better, despite the economic and environmental difficulties our community has experienced over the past year, because the need is much greater.
