(SEC Football)

Former LSU, Auburn and current Texas coach in waiting takes the coaching vacancy at Florida.  Will Muschamp who is best known as the defensive coordinator for Auburn University in their undefeated season, has left his job as "Coach in Waiting" at Texas for the Sunshine State.  At this point, we know he was the only coach interviewed by athletic director  Jeremy Foley.  A news conference has been scheduled for Tuesday at 6 p.m. ET at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium to introduce Muschamp.  More information to come.

From the couch of our "Football Blogger" FES.

NCAA: Ok Cam, did you know that your dad was seeking money for your services to play again in the SEC?
Cam: No sir, I had no idea.
NCAA: Ok Cam, sorry to bother you. That is good enough for us.
Now that we have all of that figured out let's talk a little about the game.
Auburn Tigers @ South Carolina Gamecocks
4:00 PM Game Time Record Line Betting Trend
Teams Win-Loss Streak Open Current Spread Money O/U
335 Auburn (12-0) (4-0 A) W-12 -7 -5.5 59% 48% 66%
336 South Carolina (9-3) (6-1 H) W-3 61.5 41% 52% 34%

This is South Carolina's first time to visit the SEC championship and it is the second time Auburn has gone to this game undefeated. Auburn has definately had nine lives this year but it reminds me of the Ohio State team of 2002. The went on to win it all and it seemed as if they should have lost at least 4 games that year but they kept finding a way to win. The hardest thing to do is beat the same team twice in the same season so this will be no cakewalk. What I do know is that it will be close and down to the last possession. Will Auburn win? It's hard not to pick them but I will take the points and South Carolina.
Some of the other games against the number: Louisiana Tech ( for sure), Washington St. Idaho, Hawaii, Nebraska, Virginia Tech, and Central Florida.

From a shopping Isle somewhere, spending Hobbi's Money

“Deck the halls with College Spirit….” That’s what I try do each year, adding some ornaments or decorations featuring our family’s alma maters. Notice that’s plural! It’s hard enough to continue to find a new decoration each year for my school – a well-known SEC Champion – but finding my husband’s Big 10 university and my parents’ Texas Aggies is really a challenge.

Well, we were on vacation a few weeks ago in Gulf Shores and I hit the jackpot! I went in this store called Jubilee Gifts – it’s on the boardwalk by the Original Oyster House (one of our must-visit places to eat each trip) and found the most unique college things I have ever seen. They’d just gotten in some Christmas balls with a photo of the actual stadium wrapped around it and they had them in a bunch of schools. I had trouble choosing between those and some great looking Nutcracker ornaments with the college logos on them a well. Anyway, since I could find things for all three schools, I decided to take care of next year’s search as well and bought some of each. I took one of Jubilee’s cards too so I can check out the website and have things shipped to me too.

Oh yes, my last purchase was for me….a pair of the coolest blue knit gloves with an AU on them and blue and orange pompons on each finger. They had these for lots of schools too. Now I have a reason to open a present early. I’ll NEED this one to keep my team going at the big game in Atlanta on Saturday!

Well everyone knows what game we are going to talk about this week and it is the Iron Bowl on Friday. It's pretty simple this year. Auburn has a much better offense than Alabama and Alabama has a much better defense than Auburn. So is it offense or defense? Im going to take defense this time.

Auburn Tigers @ Alabama Crimson Tide
2:30 PM Game Time Record Line Betting Trend
Teams Win-Loss Streak Open Current Spread Money O/U
127 Auburn (11-0) (3-0 A) W-11 58 61% n/a n/a
128 Alabama (9-2) (6-0 H) W-2 -3 -4.5 39% n/a n/a

These games as far as I can remember have never been shootouts, they have been slug fests and that will favor Alabama because I have more faith in them making a stop, that simple. I would love to hear everyone's input on this game as well.  I say Auburn in a tight one.  I think.  No idea on this one.  Maybe the Tide?

Closest prediction in the comment section wins a Hobnob gift pack.

Other games to look at: Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Colorado, LSU, Tennessee, Ohio St
